Cattery

My cattery is located in Mäntsälä, which is about 50 kilometres from Helsinki. It maybe takes about and half an hour to drive to Helsinki-Vantaa airport from here. Other cities such as Lahti, Porvoo and Hyvinkää are also within a half an hour drive.

I bought my first norwegian forestcat, EP FIN*Lioneye's Bobo, in 2003 just for a pet. The breeder hoped that I could bring little-Bobo to a few shows and I agreed. I wasn't suppose to get hooked on catshows, but it happened, anyway. As I was hooked on shows, I decided to get another show cat, and so Roope's half (well, actually 3/4) sister Saga moved in in the beginning of 2005. She came to me as a hostcat and she is the mother of Abeona's India litter.

I currently have two breeding cats, GIC FIN*Abeona's Saga and IC N*Lindbrekkas Shamicka. Saga is the mother of my first litter: Norse Mythology and now it seems that it was her last one. Shamicka is a mother of Nordic names with letter E which was born in the summer 2008 and I have more plans for her in the future. All my cats have been negative for FeLV and FIV and breeding cats will be HCM-tested regularly. I don't have any big plans for the future, but my goal is to breed healthy, good-tempered and beautiful norwegian forestcats.

Besides this show-hobby and small-scale breeding, I was our Norwegian Forestcat club Smerry's secretary for two years and now I'm helping to make the club's magazine called Mettis.
