Shamicka's kittens were born on Sunday morning, 22nd of June. She woke me up 6AM and about 3 hours later first kitten was born. There are 2 girls (d 09 24 and f 09 23) and 1 boy (n 09 23) in the litter. Shamicka is a devoted mother and at least for now she is very protective of her babies. Everything is fine with her and the babies and the weights have gone up nicely.

Weights have gone up steadily, 15-22g a day. There hasn't been any need for me to feed the kittens, and I'm hoping that it will continue to go like that :-) Saga's last litter was so easy, I didn't give them any extra for the first 4 weeks and after that they started to eat catfood.
Ekku is the biggest of the kittens at the moment (175g), he is always lying on his back and eating. The girls are weighting quite same, Eydis is a bit bigger at the moment (156g - 148g).
I know it's unfair ;-) but I only managed to take pictures of Edela today... Iines was at the balcony for a while, and I had to be quick. I was so efficient, that when she came back, she didn't have any idea what had been going on...
I'm trying to get pictures of Ekku and Eydis too, but maybe not today :-)
29.6. Kittens are now 1 week old! Everything is fine with them. They have all gained weight normally. Eydis is bigger than Eskel and Edela at the moment :-) She has the most charming round belly :-) Iines is quite relaxed, she doesn't mind me handling the kittens, as long as they keep quiet...

Kittens have reached 2 weeks of age! They are growing nicely, Ekku is now the biggest of them, he has gained around 20g /day the whole week and Eidi and Ella are far behind him. Ekku is the most active one at the moment. He would like to leave the nest and explore new places!? He is constantly trying to get out of the box, no luck yet... (I have made some barriers to keep him in for a while)
Eidi has had some problems with her eye, but it's looking much better now. Eidi is somehow so charming... She has such a round belly and she loves to sleep on her back and such her paw at the same time :-)
Ella is still very much like a princess. Constantly demanding some special treatment. She finally opened her eyes a few days ago and now she loves to sleep in my hand and be cuddled :-)
13.7. Kittens are starting to be more and more active :-) They can walk quite nicely, they are trying to play with each other and wash themselves. Ekku is still very anxious to leave the nest and explore new places. But he has to wait at least a week before he can go.
7.9. Kittens have reached 11 weeks and will be moving to their new homes after they reach 12 weeks. Time has passed so quickly that I can hardly believe it! It seems that they were just born and now I have to pack their bags and take them to their new families :-) It will be sad to let them go, but at least I know that they have lovely homes waiting :-)
